About Rose Ankh Publishing

Rose Ankh Publishing is an independent publisher of occult books, based in London, United Kingdom. We publish historical, philosophical and biographical works by contemporary authors, as well as others of historical significance, many of them rare and all but forgotten.

What we publish

Rose Ankh Publishing brings rare occult, esoteric and biographical works back into print in Standard, Deluxe and Fine editions. Our aim is to offer the discriminating reader, novice and expert alike, books that are worth reading. They range across the wider occult sphere and include volumes of historical or practical significance, some the only record of what they contain.

The books on our list:

• Alexandrian Witchcraft by Wallworth, Sanders, Callow & Day
• The Alex Sanders Lectures by Alex Sanders
• Prospero's Isle by John Callow
• Life, Death and Magic by David Conway
• A Spark in the Void by Len Roberts
• The Witch as Psychopomp by Sharon Day
• Magic: A Life in More Worlds than One by David Conway

Our editions

The Standard edition is the reading copy. The Deluxe edition is made by hand, signed and numbered. The Fine edition is bound by hand in goatskin. For Prospero's Isle, the Deluxe edition is 200 numbered copies, made by hand by Ludlow Bookbinders and signed by the author, in a black slipcase with a set of prints. The Fine edition of Prospero's Isle is 50 numbered copies, bound by hand by Ludlow Bookbinders in midnight blue goatskin with Paper Wilds marbled endpapers, in a slipcase with a silver tree, with a set of prints.

Who curates the list

The list is curated by Maxine Sanders and Sharon Day. Alex and Maxine Sanders founded the Alexandrian Tradition of Witchcraft in 1960s England; it has never stopped. Sharon Day, initiate and historian of the Tradition, has dedicated herself to recovering its record with accuracy and without bias: not the legend, but the truth.
